  1. Can my insurance company tell me where to go to have my vehicle repaired?

No.  Nebraska Insurance law gives vehicle owners the right to choose which repair facility they prefer use.

2. Where do I get a claim number?

Insurance companies issue claim numbers once you have the accident claim to them.

3. Will parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle for repairs?

Yes.  We order the parts once you have scheduled a time to bring it in for repairs.  This insures the parts are on-site the day you drop off the vehicle.

4. Can I get other repair work done on my vehicle while it’s in the shop?

Yes.  Please let your estimator know what other repairs you would like to have done so we can make the necessary arrangements.

5. Can you match the paint color?

Today’s modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints.  We have made a major investment in the finest paint system available.  We constantly upgrade its technology and equipment to insure that each vehicles paint matches.  We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the restoration process.

6. Do you help with towing?

If you need a tow, we have several reputable companies we can call for help with your towing needs.

7. Will B&K Body Shop set up a rental car for me?

Yes.  We can arrange for a rental car and have it waiting for you when you drop off your vehicle.  You can leave it with us when you pick up your vehicle after the repairs are complete.  Remember, insurance companies only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are the Claimant.  Check your policy or call your insurance company to get the details on your coverage and limitations.

8. If my vehicles frame is damaged, is it a total loss?

No.  A car is a total loss only when the price of the repairs exceed the insurance companies determined value.  Most cars are built using a unibody (frame and body as one) construction.  Our highly skilled structural repair team can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications.  If it is determined that the frame is bent beyond repair, then that section can simply be replaced on most vehicles.

9. What are betterment charges?

Parts that wear out and need replaced with time and use (i.e., tires, batteries and suspension parts) are commonly subject to betterment charges.  When they are replaced during the repair process, these charges are determined by your insurance company and are prorated based on actual miles on your vehicle.

10. Who collects my deductible?

It is your responsibility to pay your deductible to B&K Body Shop when you pick up your vehicle.  If you’re unsure about the amount, please call your insurance company.  

11. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, and checks.  Cash is always welcome but we do not keep any cash on hand so you will need to bring exact change please.
